Why I Don't Believe in Quick Fixes

Every January, the same promises come around. Drop 10kg in 30 days. Melt fat with this one workout. Six weeks to a whole new you. The fitness industry runs on quick fixes — and I've spent sixteen years watching them fail the same people over and over.

So let me be straight with you: I don't believe in any of it. No crash diets. No punishing, unrepeatable workouts. No total-immersion fat camps. And here's why.

Quick fixes don't fix anything — they set you back

A crash diet doesn't make you leaner in any way that lasts. Strip your calories hard enough and yes, the scale drops — but a big chunk of what you're losing is muscle, not just fat. Lose muscle and your metabolism slows, which makes it easier to regain the weight the moment you stop. That's why so many people finish a crash diet heavier, softer and more frustrated than when they started. The quick fix didn't just fail — it left you worse off.

The "balls to the wall" workout programs are the same story. Sessions so brutal you couldn't repeat them for more than a few weeks, that leave you injured or burnt out, and that you quietly abandon by March. Intensity you can't sustain isn't training — it's just a way to hurt yourself with good intentions.

And the immersion camps? They can feel amazing while you're there. But a week away from your real life does nothing to change the way you live when you get home. The moment you're back at your desk, your kitchen and your routine, you're exactly where you started.

The real problem is long-term behaviour

Here's the thing nobody selling a quick fix wants to say out loud: it's your long-term habits that made you unfit, tired or overweight in the first place. Not a bad week. Not a lack of some magic program. Years of small, repeated choices.

Which means the only thing that actually works is changing those long-term habits. That's slower, it's less exciting, and it doesn't fit on a "30-day challenge" poster. But it's the only approach that gives you a result you get to keep.

I believe in transformations, not quick fixes

A transformation isn't a crash. It's a body you build — through training that's challenging but repeatable, nutrition you can actually live with, and habits that hold up long after the novelty wears off. It's the reason my clients don't disappear after six weeks. Many of them have trained with me for years, because what we build together doesn't fall apart the moment the "challenge" ends.

So if you're looking for a magic fix, I'm honestly not your guy. But if you're ready to build something that lasts — properly, with a real plan and someone in your corner — that's exactly what I do.

That's the whole idea behind FULLFORM: no BS, no shortcuts, just the work that actually changes your body for good.
